- Established in 1997, NileWeb is a renounced leader in Internet Hosting industry in the middle East and mainly in Egypt. Catering primarily to high profile, high demand, websites, NileWeb offers a wide range of product and services that extend beyond what the traditional Hosting/Colocation provider offer. We have a suite of offerings for various Internet needs such as e-commerce/transaction processing, high availability/load sharing hosting,
VoIP integration, Audio streaming, Managed support and other custom services to meet our client’s need. Our head quarter in Cairo, Egypt is staffed 24x7 with technical support team to answer and resolve any issues or questions. We utilize automated ticketing and
tracking system to ensure all client tickets and problems have been resolved in a timely and satisfactory fashion.
- In 1998, WEBDISTRICT LLC was incorporated in the state of New York, USA as an internet hosting and service company. The join forces of both companies in the early 2000 helped integrate both offerings to complete an integrated portfolio of product and services to our clients. Webdistrict support operation is now part of NileWeb operation out of our Cairo Service Operation Center (CSOC)

Current infrastructure
- The primary hosting facility located the Fremont, California (FDC), is a state of the art colocation facility in a carrier neutral building. Our primary provider, Hurricane Electric, is top tier Internet provider with SLA of 100% uptime and redundant infrastructure in Tier2+ facility. XO Communication is another carrier we are in negotiation with to provide multi-homed connection to this facility. The current Gig port uplink we have with HE is under utilize and traffic loss rate is under 0.05% at the gateway. At this location we have 4 cabinets and expanding in our colocation space, we use all Cisco network equipments, routers, switches, firewalls, etc. and trusted hardware vendors for our server and IP KVM needs with standby hardware and NBD replacement for hardware failure.
- The second hosting facility located in Hamburg, Germany (HDC), is a Level3 carrier facility with multi uplink and peering points over Level3 infrastructure. We use the same standard hardware and support as with North America site for this location as well.
The third hosting facility is in San Jose, CA. We expanded our west coast presence in the state of the art data center SVTIX, We are running a fiber connection between this data center and our primary location in Fremont, CA. the latency between both locations is near to 3 milliseconds and we are easily able to use same IP space in both locations.
SVTIX has more power and each cabinet can handle up to 40 AMPs while FDC’s cabinets are limited to 15 AMPs.
Our fourth hosting facility is located in Telehouse DC in 25 Broadway St., NY. This is a very strategic location where all connections running between North America and Europe, Asia and Africa are met; Hurricane Electric is also our primary bandwidth provider and all traffic between this facility in the east coast and our facilities in the west coast has the best round trip delay ever.
Leveraging our global presence we opened our fifth hosting facility CDC (Cairo Datacenter), we can now offer our clients the option to distribute the traffic closer to the Internet users. This will be particularly helpful for any web site that has visitors come from Egypt. We continue to explore other opportunity to expand our presence in the Mideast region and work with the local ISPs to provide the best user experience and
potentially lower the cost for our customers.
